    "I volunteer because I have a passion for being a part of making sure every child gets the education that they deserve."

    On average our Civilian Instructors attend 30 Friday afternoon CCF sessions per year and those that volunteer with our DofE scheme gave 174 days of time supporting expeditions and training last year.

    The volunteers in the sports department help out a variety of disciplines – netball, rugby, football and hockey, just to name a few. Eight clubs a week are supported by volunteers, and at least two matches every Saturday are refereed/umpired by volunteers. It really is representative of the Stamford ethos that our pool of volunteers come from around the local community and is a great example of the Stamfordian Spirit that we encourage, while contributing to the the success of these activites.
