The opportunity to try new things, to discover new passions and to develop new hobbies gives children a chance to unlock their passion and talent. At Stamford we aim to give children as many opportunities as possible, to give them the chance to discover what their talents are, and to explore their passions.
Offering a wide co-curricular programme gives our pupils a better chance of finding activities they love and enables them to develop new skills. At Stamford we offer a vast array of different clubs and unusual activities: from fencing to chess, Russian to archery, the options are endless. We also offer a termly programme of additional paid lessons in music, speech & drama, dance and some sports.
There is a range of clubs for students to pick from, from Lego and Construction Club to creative outlets like Textiles Club and Mindful Colour. For the curious we have Coding and STEM clubs, as well as Outdoor Adventurers and many more. Sport also has a huge co-curricular presence which includes more unique disciplines such as gymnastics, water polo and chess alongside seasonal sports such as rugby, hockey, netball and cricket.
When it comes to choosing, we offer advice on how to keep a good balance between clubs and time with friends.
We provide wrap-around care from 7:30am to 6:00pm
We can provide supervised care for your child from 7:30am until 6pm every day of the school week.
If early morning training or away fixtures prove tricky for family logistics, we also offer flexi-boarding allowing students to stay for the odd night or even 1,2 or 3 nights a week
This is a building we use specifically for child care. There is a comfy corner, TV and sofa. The staff put on craft activities in the evening and there is use of the outdoor play ground and equipment when the weather permits. Children from Year 2 upwards will be looked after here until 6pm. Younger children will be taken to Wagtails in the Nursery for after-school care if needed.
We have an extensive Combined Cadet Force (CCF) and our Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme is hugely popular, but we also encourage the more academic interests such as chess and Chinese as well.
