Rugby has been central to Stamford School for over a century, fostering a deep passion for the sport. Our programme runs year-round, offering traditional 15-a-side Rugby, 7s, and touch Rugby. We aim to instil lifelong involvement- whether as a player, coach, referee, or supporter. At Stamford, Rugby is more than a game; it’s a journey of teamwork, resilience, and personal growth.

In 2023, Stamford’s first girls' Rugby team competed at Rosslyn Park VII, reflecting our commitment to growing the game across all year groups.
Our partnerships with Northampton Saints and Leicester Tigers, as well as County programmes in NLD, Leicestershire, and the East Midlands, offer players access to elite development pathways.
With top-class pitches, fitness suites, video analysis, and Strength and conditioning support, Stamford provides an exceptional Rugby environment. Students also gain international experience through tours to Portugal, Italy, and South Africa, enhancing their skills and cultural awareness.
