    The Stamford Futures Programme is an integral part of the Stamford Sixth Form experience, designed to provide comprehensive support and guidance to students as they prepare for their post-secondary education and career paths.

    The programme offers a range of resources and activities aimed at helping students make informed decisions about their futures.

    Stamford’s Futures ethos is simple: we believe that the purpose of school is to connect the past, present and future for our young people. In our Futures programme we guide and empower our students to become the best possible version of themselves as they leave Stamford and take the first steps into their future beyond school. We ask our students, ‘who could you be, and would you like to be? We collaborate with them to help them find the best next steps to take towards their future fulfilment. 

    The Stamford Futures programme offers students:

    Personalised Career Guidance: 

    • One-on-one meetings with career advisors to discuss individual aspirations, strengths, and opportunities. 
    • Tailored advice on university applications, including personal statements and interview preparation. 

    Work Experience and Internships: 

    • Assistance in securing relevant work experience placements to enhance practical skills and employability. 
    • Opportunities to participate in internships that provide real-world insights into various career fields. 

    Workshops and Seminars: 

    • Regular workshops on topics such as CV writing, interview techniques, and career planning. 
    • Seminars featuring guest speakers from different industries to provide students with diverse perspectives on career options. 

    University and Apprenticeship Support: 

    • Guidance on selecting and applying to universities, both in the UK and abroad. 
    • Information sessions and support for students interested in pursuing apprenticeships or alternative career pathways. 

    Networking Opportunities: 

    • Events and activities that enable students to connect with alumni and professionals from various sectors. 
    • Opportunities to join professional networks and societies related to their fields of interest.
