Book for our Discovery Mornings

Discovery Mornings are a chance to explore the Schools on a normal working day.

You and your family will tour the School in the company of one of our pupils and will meet the Principal and senior team over tea and coffee.

Junior School (Reception – Year 6):
Wednesday 15 May 8.45am – 10am

Senior School (Year 7 – Year 11):
Wednesday 15 May 10am – 11.30am

Spaces at a Discovery Morning are limited so that you can have as much time as you need to see the School at your own pace and discuss your child as an individual.

Sixth Form 16-18yrs

Embracing individuality...

Sixth Form at Stamford offers a unique opportunity to fuel your ambition and lay the foundations for life after school.

"Sixth Form at Stamford is about far more than just achieving the qualifications that unlock your next steps in life."

What Makes Us Special

We want our students to take the lead in their own education.

At the heart of what we offer you at Stamford is the opportunity to thrive, to help you become the best version of yourself. We encourage every student at Stamford, from Nursery through to Sixth Form, to be an independent thinker.

At Stamford we offer you the opportunity and breadth of experience, so together we give you an education that develops your ability to think for yourself.

We want you to be aspirational, to be forward thinking and to become a rounded and grounded individual, ready for the next stage of your life once you leave us.

It’s not about who you are now; it’s about who you can become
St Martin's Campus & Map

In Summer 2023, the old Stamford High School site was transformed into our new bespoke Sixth Form campus.

The process involved a Sixth Form focus group sharing input and ideas in the design and feel of the new campus, including the new coffee shop area, library space and common room. St Martin's is also just a short walk away from our new Wothorpe Sports Centre.

Why Stamford Sixth Form?

The Sixth Form lasts for two short years – but the friends you make at Stamford will be with you for life.

We won’t judge you against archaic measures.

We value your worth. We aim to expand your creativity and individuality. We will value you for your individual strengths, passions and personality; your attitude towards others, and the effort you make to be your best self. You are the only one of you.

Breadth of Offering

Sixth Form is about far more than just achieving the qualifications that unlock your next steps in life.

At Stamford, our additional A Level, AS and BTEC courses give you more flexibility over what and how you learn. Complete an Extended Project Qualification in a topic of your choosing, or take part in the Community Sports Leader Award.

You will have access to a wealth of co-curricular activities every week, as well as sport, music, drama, debating and outdoor education.

Some courses will help you achieve UCAS points towards university entrance, and all of them will add to your skills and experience, and help you learn more about who you are.

Sixth Form at Stamford offers a unique opportunity to fuel ambition, laying the foundations for life after school.
Old Stamfordians

Our community of Old Stamfordians will start to support you as you move through the Sixth Form and beyond.

They will be there for you as you take your first steps beyond school through dedicated professional networking groups, by providing careers information and advice, and offering help and support.

As Old Stamfordians, we will help you keep in touch with old friends, and we will organise events and get-togethers all over the world that make it easy for you to make the most of opportunities after your time as a student has finished.

Results and University Destinations

Stamfordians leave us ready to take on the world.

Around 90% of our Sixth Form go on to university, including Oxford, Cambridge and Russell Group universities, and to elite institutions worldwide.

We will support you in exploring other routes, too: whether you’re interested in degree apprenticeships, further education, travel, gap years or volunteering, our priority is to help you work out the right option for you. For us, success equals happiness

We will do all we can to help you find the right path, and celebrate with you when you achieve it.
