It gives them the ability to try new things, and unlock their team spirit. Regarded as an essential part of their schooling, our co-curricular activities help students to develop important life skills such as leadership, confidence and teamwork.
From sporting opportunities such as sailing, rugby or hockey, to the performing arts, there is something for everyone.
Educational trips and expeditions are also available to places such as Costa Rica, Russia, Iceland, South Africa, Australia, and India.
We place great value in these activities, because we know they help create our rounded and ground young people.
Our broad and varied programme of activities also gives students a chance to experience life beyond the classroom, giving them better chance of finding activities they love and developing new skills.
Clubs and activities include multiple sports, drama, music, debating, pottery, psychology, languages, Duke of Edinburgh, CCF, house competitions, charity events and much more.
Our Combined Cadet Force (CCF) is one of the largest voluntary contingents in the UK.
Our Bushcraft activities and Duke of Edinburgh’s Award offer students further opportunities to be challenged beyond the classroom, helping them to develop skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking, responsibility, perseverance, collaboration, and resourcefulness.
Our 300+ sporting teams give as many pupils as possible the opportunity to represent the School.
Internal expertise and external agencies deliver Dance Clubs, workshops, festivals and an Annual Showcase.
From performances and showcases to stagecraft and LAMDA courses, our superb Drama provision is widely admired.
There is plenty of opportunity to learn, develop and perform music at all levels.
