We offer a broad and detailed curriculum to suit all students.
At Stamford, relationships between teacher and student are key. We work with students and their families throughout their years with us to consider their strengths, interests, and career goals when making option subject selections in particular.
Regular consultation with teachers and parents is carried out to ensure that each student is following the right path for them. Our teaching staff support students effectively and challenge them to push themselves to achieve their very best.
In the first two years of Key Stage 3, students follow a broad curriculum. Everyone studies English, Maths and Science, building strong skills in reading, writing, problem-solving and scientific understanding. French or Spanish begins in Year 7, with a second language added in Year 8. Humanities bring together Geography, History and Religious Studies, while Technology covers Computing and Design Technology. Physical Education develops fitness and teamwork, and the Arts, through Music and Art, encourage creativity and expression.
As students progress into Year 9, they begin to adapt their education to their interests and career aspirations, leading to GCSE/IGCSE qualifications by the end of Year 11.
