Cricket at Stamford is a thriving, inclusive programme that promotes excellence and inspires students to give their best on and off the field. Over the past decade, it has become a key part of our sporting calendar, with over 200 fixtures each summer and a full co-curricular programme across all three terms. With dedicated pathways for both boys and girls, players of all abilities are encouraged to compete and develop, supported by expert coaching, including with Ashes-winning bowler Matthew Hoggard.
Stamford has a proud history of producing professional cricketers, including M.J.K. Smith, Shan Masood, Zak Chappell, Joey Evison, and Josh Hull.

Our partnerships with The Blaze, Leicestershire CCC, Northamptonshire CCC, and Lincolnshire CCC provide players with elite development opportunities.
Stamford boasts outstanding Cricket facilities, including two sports halls with eight indoor lanes, two grass squares, four astroturf surfaces, 12 outdoor nets.
Players benefit from cutting-edge equipment, such as the Merlyn bowling machine and expert coaching.
Beyond the school grounds, our biennial international tours offer unforgettable experiences, with the 2026 tour set for Sri Lanka.
