The review highlights the strength of our all-through structure, uniting Stamford Junior School and Stamford School to provide education from age 2 to 18 within one coherent foundation. Rooted in a tradition dating back to 1532 and fully co-educational since 2023.
Academic outcomes in 2025 were strong and measurable. At A level, students achieved a 100 per cent pass rate, with 37.1 per cent of grades at A* to A and 65.7 per cent at A* to B. GCSE results were equally robust, with 50 per cent of grades at 9 to 8 and 70 per cent at 9 to 6. Ninety per cent of students secured their first-choice university destination.
Inspection evidence reinforces this position. The 2022 ISI inspection confirmed that pupils learn effectively and make good progress, and the Senior School met all regulatory standards again in 2025. SEND and EAL provision is extensive and well organised, embedded across the school’s academic and pastoral systems.
