We are delighted to share the fantastic achievements of Tom, who recently competed in the British Triathlon Super Series event at Eton Dorney.
The competition was structured as a series of four challenging races, all within the space of two hours, testing athletes’ endurance, skill, and consistency. Tom went into the event ranked 15th nationally and, after the opening race, sat in 16th position.
Showing resilience and determination, Tom steadily climbed the rankings across the following races. By the final stage, he had worked his way up to 12th, knowing that the highest possible finish was 8th place. After a strong swim and bike leg, Tom produced what he described as “possibly the best run I have ever done,” crossing the line in 8th position overall.
This outstanding result marks Tom’s best performance on the national stage to date and, importantly, his first-ever top 10 finish in the series.
Tom will now turn his focus to the National Championships on 14 September, where he is aiming to build on this momentum. A top 10 result would be another excellent achievement, though Tom has his sights set on the top 5.
We are incredibly proud of Tom’s dedication and progress, and we wish him every success as he continues to compete at the highest level.
