Stamford U18 Boys Conclude Strong ISFA Bowl Campaign at Semi Final Stage

Stamford School’s U18 boys’ football team saw their impressive ISFA Bowl run come to an end at the semi final stage following a 4–1 defeat to St Columba’s College.

Facing a strong and well organised opponent, Stamford were tested throughout an intense and competitive fixture. The boys approached the match with determination and commitment, working tirelessly to stay in the contest against a side that proved clinical in key moments.

Despite falling behind, Stamford continued to play with energy and purpose. The squad showed resilience and character, pressing forward and looking for opportunities to create chances of their own. Their efforts were rewarded with a goal that reflected the team’s persistence and willingness to keep competing.

As the match progressed, St Columba’s capitalised on further opportunities to extend their advantage. Stamford, however, remained organised and committed, continuing to battle until the final whistle in a contest played at a high tempo.

Reaching the semi finals of a national competition is a significant achievement and reflects the squad’s development, dedication and teamwork across the season. Their run to the last four of the ISFA Bowl stands as a testament to the effort and progress shown by the players throughout the campaign.

Congratulations to the team and coaching staff on an excellent cup run and a season of strong performances.
