Stamford School swimmers travelled to the London Aquatics Centre to compete in the prestigious Bath Cup, joining more than 80 schools from across the country in one of the most iconic swimming venues in the UK.
Racing in a highly competitive national field, Stamford’s swimmers produced a series of determined performances across the relay events. The boys’ team delivered an impressive showing in the 4 x 100m freestyle relay, qualifying for the final in ninth place before improving their time to finish 8th overall.
The boys’ 4 x 50m medley relay also produced a strong performance. After qualifying fifth from the heats, the team returned for the final and delivered another fast swim to secure 5th place overall, demonstrating excellent teamwork and composure under pressure.
The girls’ relay teams also competed well against strong opposition. The 4 x 50m freestyle relay finished 32nd, while the 4 x 50m medley relay placed 30th, with the swimmers gaining valuable experience racing against some of the fastest school teams in the country.
