Following the success of our nationally nominated production of Oliver!, Stamford Schools’ senior play, Cluedo, proved to be another standout Drama performance for Stamford School.
Blending farce with classic murder mystery, Cluedo brought to life the intrigue and eccentricity of the much-loved board game and the 1980s cult film Clue. From the outset, audiences were drawn into a fast-paced world of secrets, suspicion and sharp comedy, with each twist keeping them guessing ‘whodunit’ until the final reveal.
The production was a testament to the strength and depth of talent within Stamford’s drama department. Performances were confident, energetic and full of character, with excellent comic timing driving the action throughout. The staging was cleverly executed, allowing the chaos of the story to unfold seamlessly, while maintaining clarity and pace.
Behind the scenes, the technical elements played an equally important role. From lighting and sound to set design and costume, every detail contributed to the atmosphere and polish of the production, enhancing the experience for audiences across the run.
Cluedo not only entertained but demonstrated the collaborative spirit at the heart of drama at Stamford. A huge congratulations to the cast, crew and staff whose dedication and creativity made this ambitious and highly enjoyable production such a success.
