We are incredibly proud to announce that Stamford School Sixth Form student Alex has signed his first professional contract with Leicestershire County Cricket Club, securing his place with the team until the end of the 2027 season.
This is a momentous achievement in Alex’s cricketing journey, showcasing the dedication and hard work he has consistently put into the sport. His progression to the professional ranks reflects not only his remarkable talent but also his commitment to continually developing as a cricketer.
Alex’s rise in the cricketing world has been nothing short of impressive. Earlier this year, in July, Alex had the distinct honour of representing England U19 in the first test of the series against Sri Lanka U19. His performance on the international stage was nothing short of spectacular, making a significant impact in what was a highly competitive and closely watched match. This international experience was key in preparing him for the rigours of professional cricket.
More recently, Alex made his professional debut for Leicestershire County Cricket Club, another pivotal moment in his flourishing career. This debut marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter, and with his new contract, we look forward to seeing many more inspiring performances from him in the seasons to come.
