Stamford School U19 Netball Crowned County Champions and Qualify for Regional Finals

Stamford School’s U19 Netball squad delivered an uncompromising display at the County Cup, securing qualification for the Regional Schools event on Sunday 25 January with a flawless run of victories. The team swept past Priory School, KGGS, William Farr, Bourne Grammar and Boston High School, controlling every match despite several key players being unavailable through injury, illness and university visits.

The group adapted impressively, with Year 12 athlete Tilly Stevens stepping up at short notice and producing a composed, high-quality performance that blended seamlessly with the established senior players. Her contribution under pressure underlines the depth and resilience within Stamford’s netball pathway.

This result cements Stamford School’s position as a leading force in county and regional netball, and demonstrates the strength of preparation, tactical discipline and competitive mindset across the programme. The County and Regional rounds form part of the national English Schools competition, and today’s clean sweep confirms the U19 squad as serious contenders heading into the next stage.

A superb achievement and a performance fully worthy of representing the school and county at Regional level.
