Stamford School Student Receives Offer to Study Land Economy at the University of Cambridge

Stamford School is proud to celebrate the success of Year 13 student Ralph, who has received an offer to study Land Economy at the University of Cambridge.

Ralph was drawn to Land Economy for its distinctive interdisciplinary approach, combining economics, law, planning, and environmental management. His interest in the subject is grounded in genuine experience. Having grown up on a farm, Ralph has developed a strong understanding of land use, rural enterprise, and environmental stewardship, which has directly shaped his academic focus and long-term ambitions.

Reflecting on the Cambridge application and interview process, Ralph highlighted how his subject passion, alongside real-world agricultural experience, enabled him to discuss land use, policy, and sustainability with confidence and clarity. He also spoke warmly about the guidance and support provided by Stamford School staff throughout his application, from subject mentoring to interview preparation.

Securing an offer for Land Economy, one of Cambridge’s most distinctive courses is a significant achievement and a clear testament to Ralph’s sustained hard work, intellectual curiosity, and thoughtful preparation.

Alongside traditional A-level pathways, Stamford School offers vocational routes such as the BTEC Agriculture programme, supporting students with interests in farming, land management, and the rural economy to pursue rigorous and relevant academic and professional progression.

We congratulate Ralph on this outstanding success and wish him every continued success as he prepares for the next stage of his academic journey.
