Stamford School Hosts Annual Boarders' Formal
The Sixth Form Boarders from Byard and Browne came together this week for their annual Christmas Boarders' Formal, a much-loved tradition that brings a real sense of community to the end of term. The evening had all the hallmarks of the occasion, smart attire, relaxed conversation and an atmosphere that felt both celebratory and genuinely warm.
Holroyd Howe provided an excellent three-course menu that set the tone for the night, and the quality of the food was matched by the enthusiasm around the room. Speeches and light-hearted gift-giving added a personal touch, reflecting the strong bonds within both houses, while the dancing that followed kept the momentum going well into the evening.
The event continues to be an important part of boarding life, giving students the chance to pause, enjoy each other’s company and take pride in the traditions that shape Byard and Browne.
A warm thank you goes to the boarding team for their work in organising and supporting the Formal, ensuring the evening ran smoothly and creating a memorable end-of-term celebration for our Sixth Form community. A memorable way to begin the festive season.
