Last weekend, three Stamford teams travelled to Tormead School in Guildford to compete in the ISGA National Premier 5 Piece Championships, showcasing their dedication and skill. The girls had worked exceptionally hard in the lead-up to the competition, and their performances reflected their commitment.
The U9s team, competing at the top level for the first time, faced the challenge with enthusiasm and determination. Their performance resulted in an impressive 8th place finish, demonstrating plenty of potential for the future and setting a solid foundation for upcoming competitions.
The U19 Girls, drawing from their experience, delivered outstanding performances, with three athletes achieving a perfect 10 on the set vault. Their strong efforts earned them an 8th place finish, marking a memorable final competition for three Year 13 students, two of whom have been competing at this level since they were U9s, underscoring the longevity and consistency of their talent.
The U11 Girls had put particular focus on perfecting their group routine, and their hard work paid off in spectacular fashion. Although they finished 8th as a team, their incredible group performance earned them a well-deserved 3rd place in this part of the competition. This achievement was especially remarkable given the phenomenally high standard of the event.
Stamford School’s gymnastics teams continue to impress with their dedication and achievements, demonstrating the hard work and focus that go into competing at the national level. The performances from all three teams highlighted the exceptional talent that Stamford School nurtures, setting the stage for future successes.
