Stamford School celebrated a fantastic day at the Cross Country District Championships with outstanding performances from our athletes. In the Year 7 boys’ race, Boogie G took the top spot, showcasing his exceptional speed and endurance. The Junior boys’ category was another area of success for Stamford School, as Barney B sprinted to 1st place, followed closely by Jacob B, who secured a well-earned 3rd. Meanwhile, Tom H and Will H dominated the Inter boys’ race, finishing in 1st and 2nd places, respectively, demonstrating impressive stamina and teamwork.
The girls' teams also shone brightly, with Amelia R finishing 2nd in the Year 7 race. Her determination and competitive spirit were clear as she secured her podium position. In the Junior Girls’ category, Olivia P put in a strong performance to take 3rd place, rounding out a day full of remarkable achievements for Stamford School’s athletes. Each competitor gave their all, representing the school with pride and dedication.
These exceptional results mean that many of Stamford School’s runners have qualified for the County Championships in January. The school is incredibly proud of each athlete's hard work, which has paid off in both individual victories and team successes.
