Scholars explore the world of art

Year 11 Scholars at Stamford High School have visited a local art gallery to help them explore the use of art in prompting questions about our world.A group of Academic Scholars visited Gladwell & Patterson gallery in Oakham, to explore a range of artwork from contemporary, surrealist and post-impressionist artist.The students shared thoughtful questions and discussion about how art work can portray the changing socio-economic, political and environmental  issues throughout time.Key highlights included international artist Justine Smith and her artwork based on the concept of money, post-impressionist artist Gustave and wildlife artist and conservationist David Shephard.
