OS Declan Spaine lands title role in Hamilton

We are thrilled to share the news that our OS of 2015, Declan Spaine, will begin his run leading the West End cast of Lin Manuel Miranda’s Hamilton on the 19th of June at the Victoria Palace Theatre in London! What an incredible accomplishment.

Declan studied both GCSE and A Level Drama whilst at Stamford, as well as partaking in multiple school productions. His extremely memorable performances as ‘Enjolras’ in our 2012 production of Les Misérables, the title role of Othello in our 2014 production, and ‘Danny Zuko’ in our 2015 production of Grease are unforgettable, to say the least, and subsequently still spoken highly of today. Declan didn’t partake in only the performing arts but was a talented rugby player at Stamford, playing in the First XV team.

After leaving Stamford in 2015, he took the next step in his career by receiving a placement at the prestigious London Drama School, Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts. Italia Conti’s reputation within the musical theatre industry is extraordinary. Since graduating from his training in 2019, he has starred in a few professional productions, including Red Dust Road, a production by the National Theatre of Scotland, Four Play, with ‘Above the Stag’, an Off West End theatre company in London, and most recently, has been the alternate Bob Marley in Get Up Stand Up! The Bob Marley Musical in London’s West End. We are so excited to see Declan grow even further when he takes this huge step, and no doubt will soar! Well done Declan, a true Stamfordian and one we are very proud of.
