Stamford School is delighted to celebrate the success of Year 13 student Lula, who has received an offer to study Fine Art: Painting at the University of the Arts London.
Lula chose to pursue Fine Art as a way to express and share her passion for painting, which she feels is the most powerful medium through which she can communicate her ideas. Throughout her application, she focused on presenting work that reflected the deeper meaning behind her artistic interests, using her portfolio to explore themes that are personally significant to her and to demonstrate the development of her creative thinking.
Preparing her portfolio and application required both reflection and commitment. Lula approached the process by curating a body of work that showed not only technical skill but also the personal motivations that shape her practice, allowing her passion for painting to come through clearly.
Since joining Stamford’s Sixth Form, Lula has benefited greatly from the support and expertise of the Art department. She credits the enthusiasm and dedication of her teachers, alongside the opportunity to experiment with a wide range of artistic media and techniques, with helping her refine her style and broaden her creative perspective.
Receiving an offer to study Fine Art: Painting at the University of the Arts London is a significant achievement and reflects Lula’s creativity, commitment, and thoughtful approach to her work.
We congratulate Lula on this wonderful success and wish her every continued success as she prepares for the next stage of her artistic journey.
