Stamford School’s First XI girls produced a superb display in the fourth round of the National Plate, securing a decisive 3–0 win over AKS Lytham to reach the national quarter finals and the North final.
Stamford controlled the match from the outset, pressing intelligently, moving the ball with purpose and taking their chances at key moments. The defensive unit set the tone with a calm, disciplined performance, while the forward line showed sharpness in transition and real composure in the circle.
It was a complete team effort that highlighted the strength and depth of the programme. The squad looked confident, organised and tactically clear, demonstrating the qualities needed to compete at national level.
A fantastic achievement and fully deserved progression. Congratulations to the players and coaching team as they head into the next round with real momentum.
