Stamford School was proud to host a charity sports fixture on Friday evening, as the 1st XI Girls’ Hockey team faced the 1st XV Boys’ Rugby team at Wothorpe Sports Centre.
The match proved to be a competitive and entertaining occasion, played in excellent spirit by both teams. After a hard-fought contest, the boys’ rugby side secured a 6–3 victory, but the result was secondary to the wider purpose of the event.
The fixture was organised in support of The Hospice of the Good Shepherd, helping to raise funds for the vital care and support the hospice provides to patients and their families at the most challenging times.
Events such as this reflect the strength of the Stamford School community, bringing pupils together across sports while reinforcing the importance of giving back through teamwork, commitment, and shared responsibility.
Stamford School would like to thank all players, staff, and supporters who contributed to making the evening such a success, both on and off the pitch.
