Cadets from Stamford School's CCF (RAF) Section travelled to RAF Honington this past weekend to compete in the Royal Air Squadron Trophy, facing strong competition from seventeen school RAF squadrons from across the region.
Throughout the day, the cadets were tested across a demanding range of disciplines including shooting, cyber challenges, command tasks, drill and space knowledge. The section delivered an excellent all round performance, placing first in shooting, second in cyber, fourth in the command task, and sixth in drill and space.
These results secured an impressive fourth place overall, narrowly missing out on qualification for the national finals. It was a strong and disciplined showing that reflected both the commitment of the cadets and the depth of training within the section.
Well done to all involved, and particularly to Head Cadet Issy P-H, whose leadership played a key role in the team’s success.
