At Stamford School, we are incredibly proud of Alex Green (OS 25) following a successful campaign with the England Under-19 cricket team at the Under-19 Cricket World Cup in Zimbabwe.
Alex was part of the England side that recorded impressive victories over Australia, New Zealand, Bangladesh and others on the route to the final. While England were beaten by India U19s in the final, Alex produced a strong individual performance, taking two wickets in the match.
The tournament offered valuable exposure to high-level international cricket, with varied conditions, strong opposition, and the demands of a global competition. This experience represents an important step in Alex’s ongoing development and progression within the game.
At Stamford School, we are proud to support students competing at the highest level of youth sport and look forward to following Alex’s continued progress in cricket.
