    At Stamford Sixth Form, we tailor our admissions process so we can build a bespoke and individual picture of each child upon entry, ensuring that Stamford is the right place for your child.

    The offer of a place at Stamford School is based on the following criteria:

    • Acceptable GCSE Examination Results—Each subject has its own entry requirements, which are detailed in our Course Options Guide for Sixth Form. Additionally, students will need a Grade 4 or above in both Maths and English Language to join the Stamford Sixth Form.
    • External Year 11 applicants sit an entrance assessment in the Autumn Term. Year 11 CAT Scores can be submitted, but final GCSE results will be a deciding factor.
    • Receipt of a satisfactory school reference.
    • A successful interview by the student with a member of the academic staff.
    • Receipt of latest school reports at any stage of entry.

    To begin your application, please contact our Admissions team. One of our Registrars will guide you through each stage and answer any questions along the way.

    If your child has additional learning needs, let us know before your visit. We’ll arrange a meeting with our experienced SENDCo to discuss their needs. Please note that we have limited capacity for SEND support in each year group, and we’ll offer clear guidance throughout the process.

    Once you've been in touch, we’ll arrange a visit to our dedicated Sixth Form campus, including a tour and a meeting with a member of the senior team.

    To apply, you’ll need to complete the application form and pay the £150 fee. Your Registrar will then guide you through the assessment and interview stage.

    Students from overseas and those in Forces families follow a slightly different application process
