Welcome to Stamford Nursery and Preschool
We welcome children from two years old in our Nursery rooms through to three- and four-year-olds in our Preschool rooms. Families can choose from full-time nursery care or funded places for those eligible for universal or extended early years funding (subject to availability).
Nestled within the grounds of Stamford Junior School, our nursery offers children an exceptional start. While we are independent from the school, we benefit from unrestricted access to its extensive facilities. This partnership supports smooth transitions into Stamford Junior School or other local primaries.

Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, we embrace multiple forms of self-expression, including Art, Music and Movement. Children’s work is celebrated through documentation and displays, making learning visible and valued.
All meals and snacks are freshly prepared on-site in our own kitchen-diner. Children enjoy balanced, seasonal menus with plenty of variety, from homemade muffins to fresh fruit and vegetables.
Stamford Preschool's uniform includes a red polo t-shirt, a Stamford branded jumper and navy trousers, skirt or shorts.
The introduction of the uniform helps to foster a sense of belonging and prepares our children for the transition to Junior School.
