Year 8 Student Achieves National Success in British Dressage MyQuest U21 Championship

Stamford School is celebrating an exceptional performance from Year 8 student Erin, who secured 2nd place in the British Dressage MyQuest U21 National Championship at Intro level.

This achievement marks the end of a demanding qualification process that stretched across the summer and into the semi-finals, culminating in the national championship. Success at this level requires accuracy, consistency, and a level of discipline far beyond what is typically expected of riders her age. Erin delivered all of that with composure and technical control.

Her result reflects not only her own hard work but also the strength of equestrian sport at Stamford. The school’s established equestrian programme provides coaching, competitive opportunities, and the structure young riders need to develop both confidence and refined technique. Erin’s performance is a clear example of how that environment helps talented students excel on the national stage.

At the finals, she demonstrated a mature understanding of balance, rhythm, and communication with her horse, the hallmarks of a rider who trains with purpose. Achieving a national podium finish in a discipline as demanding as dressage is a rare milestone for someone at this stage of their riding career.

Everyone at Stamford School is immensely proud of her success. It is a significant moment in her progression as a young athlete, and we look forward to seeing how she continues to develop within British Dressage and through the opportunities offered by equestrian sport at Stamford.
