Discovery Mornings are a chance to explore the School on a normal working day.

You and your family will tour the School in the company of one of our pupils and will meet the senior team over tea and coffee.

Junior School (Reception – Year 6):
Wednesday 15 May 8.45am – 10am

Spaces at a Discovery Morning are limited so that you can have as much time as you need to see the School at your own pace and discuss your child as an individual.

Outstanding start to 2019 for Stamford School’s 1st XI​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Stamford School’s 1st XI hockey team start their 2019 season with a victory over Uppingham in the first round of the National Cup in their quest to retain their Cardiff University tournament title.The first weekend of the year saw Stamford travelling to Cardiff to defend their invitational tournament title. The tournament began with a tough match against King’s School Gloucester which, after a very close game, resulted in a 1-0 loss. After strong performances against Kingswood Bath and King’s Bruton, the Stamford boys secured a place in the final with a second chance for victory over King’s School Gloucester. A strong performance across the field resulted in a 5-0 win. Stamford showed great strength throughout the weekend scoring 20 goals and conceding only 3 goals.The following Saturday, Stamford 1st XI took on Uppingham in their first league and National Cup fixture of the season. In the first half, the boys defended well and after a Ben Pearson penalty flick, Stamford went into half time with a 1-0 lead. The game opened up in the second half with Eddie Harper scoring 2 goals leading to a 3-0 final score.Head of Hockey at Stamford School, Matt Bartell, commented: “After retaining the Cardiff University tournament trophy and achieving a solid victory over Uppingham, the Stamford boys can be very proud of their performance. If they continue to build on their strong pre-season training, I have every confidence that they will experience a successful season.”
