Stamford Schools' February Half Term!

Students at Stamford Schools embarked on exciting trips during the recent February half term, exploring diverse cultures, delving into history, and pushing their creative boundaries.

Year 9 French Exchange:

Immersed in the heart of French culture, Year 9 students participated in our annual captivating exchange program. Living with host families and their French counterparts, they experienced daily life first hand, whilst developing their French language skills. The trip included a thrilling Segway tour through the scenic Beaujolais vineyards, a fascinating visit to the Museum of Beaujolais, a cultural exploration of Lyon, and completed with visits to the UNESCO-listed Fourvière Basilica.

Year 12 & 13 Design Technology Trip:

Munich, Germany, became a hub of inspiration for Year 12 and 13 Design Technology students. Geared towards understanding design, engineering, and architecture, the trip offered a unique blend of experiences. Students gained insights from a captivating stadium tour of the Allianz Arena, home to FC Bayern Munich, and explored the innovative world of automobiles at the renowned BMW Museum and BMW Welt. The exploration extended to the Pinakothek der Moderne, a haven for contemporary design, and the vast Deutsches Museum, showcasing scientific and technological advancements.

Immersing themselves in Munich's rich culture, they discovered the architectural beauty of the Old Town while enjoying a traditional Bavarian meal. After indulging in thrilling escape room games and friendly 10-pin bowling competitions, the students returned home brimming with inspiration and new perspectives.

These half term trips provided students with invaluable opportunities to develop language skills, experience new cultures, gain knowledge in their subjects, and make lasting memories.
