Year 10 and Year 12 at SHS Visit a Sculpture Park
Year 10 and Year 12 artists at Stamford High School visited the Yorkshire Sculpture Park in Wakefield.The Park is home to artworks from some of the most renowned British artists including Barbara Hepworth, Damien Hirst and Henry Moore.Miss H Kenworthy, Head of Art at Stamford High School, said: "The day was a fantastic opportunity for the students to gain invaluable inspiration and increase their awareness of artists intentions."They experienced the artwork of artists including Rachel Kneebone and Joana Vasconcelos."After working with a professional artist, the students also got to sculpt some pieces of their own."For more news from Art at Stamford, please click here.
