In an outstanding display of skill and teamwork, the Stamford School Under 16 Netball team emerged victorious at the East Midlands Netball regional tournament on Saturday 3rd February.
The teams stellar performance secured them a spot to proudly represent the East Midlands at the upcoming National Schools tournament in March, remaining unbeaten throughout the day. It is not unfamiliar to many members of the team, with the majority having represented the region at the U14 National Schools tournament in 2021.
On the same day, Stamford’s U19 and U14 teams made it through to the cup semi-final, with both teams narrowly losing out on a place at Nationals. Both teams played some incredible netball throughout the day and should be proud of their efforts.
Miss Mason, Head of Netball for Stamford School, comments: “The dedication and hard work from all three teams was prevalent, marking a historic achievement for our school. It is the first time Stamford have had three teams represent at the Regional tournament and all team players should be commended for their commitment, hard work and team spirit. Congratulations to the U16 team, who will represent the East Midlands region at the tournament in March."
