Discovery Mornings are a chance to explore the School on a normal working day.

You and your family will tour the School in the company of one of our pupils and will meet the senior team over tea and coffee.

Junior School (Reception – Year 6):
Wednesday 15 May 8.45am – 10am

Spaces at a Discovery Morning are limited so that you can have as much time as you need to see the School at your own pace and discuss your child as an individual.

Tom earns prestigious title of Master Scuba Diver

Stamford School student, Thomas Smith, Year 12, has earned the respected title of ‘Master Scuba Diver’ from the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI), following over 60 dives in locations across the world.  Tom is among fewer than 2% of divers holding this qualification worldwide, and one of the youngest to achieve the accolade in the UK, at age 16 years.Tom has qualified in specialties including Rescue Diving, Advanced Open Water Diving, Wreck Diving, Drift Diving, Night Diving, Deep Diving and Drysuit Diving. To achieve his qualification, he has completed many cold-water inland dives in the UK, as well as travelling to the Maldives, Malaysia, Jordan, Oman, the Galapagos, Gozo, St Lucia and the Azores.Tom diving in locations across the worldTom started diving when he was 12, having tried a short session of ‘Snuba’, a form of diving using an air tank which floats on the surface of the water. He has since been determined to gain his Master Diver qualification, as a pre-requisite to be accepted as a ranger in the Galapagos. Upon achieving the qualification, Tom will now be involved in marine and land conservation activities in the Islands in his gap year, following his A Levels.
