Discovery Mornings are a chance to explore the School on a normal working day.

You and your family will tour the School in the company of one of our pupils and will meet the senior team over tea and coffee.

Junior School (Reception – Year 6):
Wednesday 15 May 8.45am – 10am

Spaces at a Discovery Morning are limited so that you can have as much time as you need to see the School at your own pace and discuss your child as an individual.

Third final in three years at National Spelling Bee Competition

Stamford School Year 7 student, Frank, becomes the third student in three years to qualify for the Foreign Language Spelling Bee National Finals in the Spanish category at Cambridge University following the regional finals held at Stamford School on Wednesday 27thMarch.The competition is for students in Year 7 to display their vocabulary, spelling and memory skills in a foreign language (French, German or Spanish). After progressing through the class and school rounds, four Year 7 students from Stamford School and Stamford High School; James, Frank, Chase and Abigail were selected for the Spanish round and Stamford High School student Tabitha was selected for the French round. The students were tasked with learning and spelling 150 words in their chosen language.45 pupils made the semi-finals from over 3,400 entries nationwide and after another challenging round for the linguists, Frank qualified for the national finals.Head of Spanish at Stamford School, Catherine Pike, commented: ‘I couldn’t have been prouder of the student’s performances. They have worked enormously hard learning the 150 words since September and have regularly attended extra training sessions in preparation for the event. Many congratulations to Frank, I look forward to accompanying him to Cambridge University in July for the national finals.’
