Book for our Discovery Morning

Discovery Mornings are a chance to explore the School on a normal working day.

You and your family will tour the School in the company of one of our pupils and will meet the senior team over tea and coffee.

Junior School (Reception – Year 6):
Wednesday 15 May 8.45am – 10am

Spaces at a Discovery Morning are limited so that you can have as much time as you need to see the School at your own pace and discuss your child as an individual.

'The show must go on!' at SJS

Year one pupils at Stamford Junior School have transformed their classrooms into a West End Theatre, after their annual theatre trip was unfortunately cancelled.In the first week back after Autumn half term, Year one pupils would usually excitedly visit the Corn Exchange Theatre in Stamford to watch Scamp Theatre's productions of 'The Scarecrow's Wedding' and 'Stickman'.Sadly, due to Covid-19 restrictions, the children's visit had to be cancelled, but they didn't let this get in their way; instead transforming their classrooms into a theatre, complete with posters, tickets and even ice creams to watch the Julia Donaldson production, 'The Snail and the Whale'.Children took inspiration from the film, making their own snail sculptures, using natural materials; take a look at their creations in the video below.Well done to all the children involved - please enjoy their photo gallery below to see what they have been up to: SJS Theatre

After the pupils had collected their tickets from the 'box office' they were lead to their seats by torchlight for the performance. SJS Theatre
