Students impress at SHS Music Festival

Over 120 performances have occurred across two days of the annual Stamford High School music festival; a musical performance experience whereby students can gain advice from external professional adjudicators, and practice displaying their individual and ensemble work.Students completed from all year groups of the School, in performance classes of strings, woodwind and brass, percussion, singing, piano, and ensemble in three age groups.Linking to students learning both through the taught subject of music and co-curricular lessons, the festival encouraged performance, enhanced listening skills, helped develop instrumental and musical techniques and vocabulary and provided a platform for evaluation and reflection.Students perform at SHS Music festivalStudents perform at SHS Music festivalStudents perform at SHS Music festivalStudents perform at SHS Music festivalStudents perform at SHS Music festival
