Students from Stamford, Oakham, Oundle and Uppingham Schools have taken part in a Inter-schools Badminton Tournament. The tournament was unique in its mixing of students from different schools together into teams - making up eight mixed teams of seven players, who played a mixture of doubles and singles. Students from all schools enjoyed the opportunity to play and make friends with their peers from the other schools, as they were playing alongside.Mr Smith, Head of Badminton, said: “There was fierce competition between the teams and excellent skill and determination displayed by all."I am particularly proud of our Stamford players who forged new friendships with students from the other schools and were cheering on people who they had not spoken to all that much."I was very impressed with how our players’ ability and technique in the sport has improved throughout this academic year. I thank our excellent badminton coach – Kevin – for all the work he has done to help. We look forward to helping to run this tournament again next year!”[gallery size="full" ids="https://www.stamfordschools.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/INTER-School-Badminton_0000_badminton-inter-4.jpg|,https://www.stamfordschools.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/INTER-School-Badminton_0001_badminton-inter-3.jpg|,https://www.stamfordschools.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/INTER-School-Badminton_0002_badminton-inter-2.jpg|"]To see more badminton news from the Schools, please click
