Stamford School Students Triumph at ESU Churchill Public Speaking Competition Regional Finals

Stamford School are proud to announce the outstanding achievement of three of our students, Saanvi, Rory, and Tess, who have secured their spots in the national finals of the English Speaking Union's Churchill Public Speaking Competition. The prestigious event, marking the third round of the competition, was hosted at Loughborough Grammar School, where our students demonstrated exceptional eloquence and skill.

Saanvi, a Year 10 student, exhibited exemplary leadership as the Chair of the team. Rory, also in Year 10, displayed sharp wit and critical thinking as the Questioner. Tess, a Year 11 student, delivered a compelling speech titled "Advertisements for alcohol, gambling, and junk food should be banned," passionately arguing in favour of the statement.

The trio's stellar performance was unmatched at the regional level, making them the sole representatives to advance to the Nationals Finals. The upcoming challenge will take place at Churchill College, Cambridge University, where they will compete against other top speakers from across the nation.
