Fantastic news from Stamford School! A huge congratulations to sisters Poppy (Year 6) and Hatty (Year 4) on their outstanding achievements in dance.
Hatty and her dance partner will proudly represent Team England at the Dance World Cup Final 2025 in Spain after securing 5th place nationally in their Acro duet. The Dance World Cup (DWC) is the world’s largest all-genre dance competition for children and young adults, showcasing the most talented dancers from across the globe.
Poppy and her Acro group put in a phenomenal performance, finishing 9th nationally and just missing out on the final. However, she has also received a nomination for a prestigious National Musical Theatre Award (MTA). With the final set to take place in July, she has high hopes of progressing further. The MTA Awards are run by the International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA), with nominees selected by expert examiners during IDTA examinations.
Stamford School is immensely proud of Poppy and Hatty for their dedication, passion, and incredible success. Their achievements highlight the outstanding talent nurtured at Stamford School, reinforcing its reputation for excellence in performing arts.
