A group of nine students from Stamford High School have successfully progressed to the Lincoln County platform of the ‘UDance’ competition, to dance in the ‘True Motion’ round. The all-day event was held at Lincoln University Performing Arts Centre, and involved a contemporary dance workshop, prior to a showing of their routine in the evening.Three Year 10 students, Jess W, H Forrester and Mollie N, choreographed the dance as part of a co-curricular club, with the support of their teacher, Mrs Nicola Watson. The remaining dancers, Hannah B, Daisy-May F, Sheliz I and Charlotte M, Year 10, alongside Isabel L and Poppy W, Year 9, contributed their ideas and sequences to different sections of the dance.Mrs Nicola Watson, Teacher of Drama at Stamford High School, said: “I am delighted that our pupils once again progressed to the Lincoln County Platform. They conducted themselves professionally, performed beautifully and were a credit to the Stamford Endowed Schools. Thank you also to all those parents that were free, and able to come along to support the pupils.”Stamford's 'True Motion' Dance Team Stamford's 'True Motion' Dance Team Stamford's 'True Motion' Dance Team Stamford's 'True Motion' Dance Team Stamford's 'True Motion' Dance Team Stamford's 'True Motion' Dance Team Stamford's 'True Motion' Dance Team Stamford's 'True Motion' Dance TeamFor more news about Arts and Culture at the Stamford Endowed Schools, please click here.
