A group of nine students from Stamford High School have successfully progressed to the Lincoln County platform of the ‘UDance’ competition, to dance in the ‘True Motion’ round.The all-day event was held at Lincoln University Performing Arts Centre, and involved a contemporary dance workshop, prior to a showing of their routine in the evening.Three Year 10 students, Jess W, H Forrester and Mollie N, choreographed the dance as part of a co-curricular club, with the support of their teacher, Mrs Nicola Watson.The remaining dancers, Hannah B, Daisy-May F, Sheliz I and Charlotte M, Year 10, alongside Isabel L and Poppy W, Year 9, contributed their ideas and sequences to different sections of the dance.Mrs Nicola Watson, Teacher of Drama at Stamford High School, said: “I am delighted that our pupils once again progressed to the Lincoln County Platform. They conducted themselves professionally, performed beautifully and were a credit to the Stamford Endowed Schools. Thank you also to all those parents that were free, and able to come along to support the pupils.”
