Stamford Junior School proudly concluded Children’s Mental Health Week with a non-uniform day, raising vital funds for the Bobby Copping Foundation, a local charity dedicated to supporting young people’s mental well-being.
As part of the day’s events, former professional footballer Bobby Copping visited the school to deliver an inspirational assembly on resilience to KS2 pupils. Since retiring Bobby has gone on to achieve a number of executive-level roles and qualifications. Now holding two master’s degrees, owning his own business, building a
track record within sports business, and being co-founder of a registered charity. Bobby is the definition of resilience and his story is motivation for anyone facing adversity.
Year 6 pupils were also given the unique opportunity to participate in an interactive Q&A session, where Bobby shared his personal experiences and offered valuable insights on overcoming adversity.
Stamford School extends a huge thank you to Bobby Copping for his time and for inspiring our pupils with his journey.
