The Under 11 team of gymnasts from the Stamford Junior School, Lincolnshire medalled for the first time, as a team, in fifth place at the Independent Schools Gymnastics National 5 piece Championships in Milton Keynes last weekend.Following stiff competition against a total of 14 independent schools nationwide, the gymnasts completed Set Floor, Set Vault, Voluntary Floor, Voluntary Vault and a group routine. They finished in fourth place in the Group Sequence competition after a fantastic and well-synchronised performance, receiving 4th place medals.The Under 11 team comprising Ada Armes, Tara Latham, India Barrasso, Evalyn Dickie-Meadows, Ruby Ferguson and Annelise Barwise were delighted to be announced in 5th place, winning medals and a trophy after all the scores were totalled. This is the first time this team has medalled as a team at this prestigious national event adding to their outstanding record of achievements to date.
