Stamford Endowed Schools Release GCSE Results For 2023

Stamford Endowed Schools are celebrating their GCSE results, with three quarters of the grades achieved being grades 9-5, with 55% at grades 9-6. GCSE results were released nationally on Thursday 24th August.

Will Phelan, Principal of the Stamford Endowed Schools, comments: “I am very pleased with the individual successes achieved across the Stamford Endowed Schools for this year’s GCSE results. This group of students have suffered significant disruption due to the Covid pandemic, and therefore to maintain grade standards comparable to 2019, is a very significant achievement.”

Vicky Buckman, Head of Stamford School, says: “Students have achieved excellent individual success this year, despite the pastoral problems faced by a large number following the Covid pandemic. It is very important to not forget the disturbance faced by these students who, in core academic years, were learning remotely. The wider context nationally of young people’s mental health challenges should also be acknowledged.”

Andy Murphy, Head of Sixth Form at Stamford, adds: “For those looking for a Sixth Form option for this year we have a few places remaining to start this September. Please contact our admissions team for more information to discuss your options with our team.”

From September 2023, Stamford School (Co-Educational from 2-18) will be based at the St Paul’s site of the School, with Stamford Sixth Form at St Martin’s; a standalone Sixth Form centre. For those looking for a place following their GCSE results, please call the Schools admissions team on 01780 750311 for more details.
