SHS Chemistry Blog Competition
The Chemistry department at Stamford High School have been running a blog competition.This was a chance for students to showcase their interest in Chemistry in a 300-500 word article.This week the winners were announced. Prekshya T (Y7) and Sophie W (Y10) have both won a £30 gift voucher for they're impressive articles!Congratulations to three other entrants who received certification for their articles, which were also highly commended: Darci J (Y13), Annabel A (Y8) and Chloe T (Y7).The winner's articles will also feature in the Schools' blog this termMs Cox, Head of Chemistry says: “I was delighted to read a broad range of entries exploring a range of chemical ideas, from the weirdness of water to the life stories of famous female chemists. Particular congratulations to our winners, Sophie W and Prekshya T, and our highly commended entrants, Darci J, Annabel A and Chloe T. The standard was very high and I am really looking forward to seeing all their blog posts published over the next few months to help raise the profile of Chemistry in our school.”
