    SHS 1st XI Captain Wins Gold at School Games National Finals

    Sophie Skelton (Y13), SHS 1st XI hockey captain, won gold at the School Games National Finals. Sophie was a member of the victorious England Blue team who defeated Ulster, Scotland and England White, to win Gold medals on goal difference over the silver placed England Red team.Quote from Sophie if wanted… “Overall it was a really enjoyable and also tiring four days that was different to any other tournament that I had been to because of the fact that it was a multisport tournament. There was also a professional atmosphere throughout the tournament which created an exciting and unique experience.”We are excited to welcome Sophie back to the school team this season and very much look forward to her leading the team, and sharing her growing knowledge and experience with our youthful 1st XI squad.
