Rotary Young Chef Competition

A student at the Stamford Schools has secured his place in the final of the Rotary Young Chef Competition.Rory C, Year 9, achieved second place with his dishes of tomato soup with focaccia;  crusted cod, parmentier potatoes with leeks, peas and bacon; and chocolate cheesecake with a passion fruit coulis. The competition required students to cook and serve a healthy meal, suitable for two people within the cost and time limits allowed. For this round, they were tasked to make a three course meal for under £20, in 2 hours 25 minutes. The local and district rounds of the Rotary Young Chef Competition have been hosted at Stamford and welcomed 13 students from as far away as Sleaford, Northampton, Leicester, Lincoln, Boston and Bedford.Promoted by Rotary International in Great Britain & Ireland, the competition is well established and successful. There are three stages, each designed to support and encourage the development of the students' cookery skills.[gallery size="medium" ids="https://www.stamfordschools.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/Untitled-3-2.png|,https://www.stamfordschools.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/Untitled-4-1.png|,https://www.stamfordschools.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/Untitled-5-1.png|"]Rotary Young Chef CompFor more news on the community, please click here. Banner 2021 - Community
