Remembrance at Stamford
Students across the Stamford Schools have come together to celebrate Remembrance in a different way this year, due to the impact of Covid-19 restrictions. On the 11th November, students met in bubbles, at a social distance, for a service from the Chaplain, Rev M Goodman, and Assistant Chaplain, Mr B O'Neill, where three wreaths were laid and the names of the fallen were read. The service was streamed to the members of the Stamford Community who were unable to attend. Thanks go to Dominic Measures, who played the Last Post and Reveille. On Remembrance Sunday, students from across the Boarding houses came together as a community, maintaining social distancing, for a Remembrance service held by the Chaplain and Assistant Chaplain.
Pupils in every Year Group at Stamford Junior School have also made their own poppies which they have displayed in the windows to celebrate Remembrance Day.
