Old Stamfordian named amongst ‘Best Young Historians’ in BBC History Extra’s '30 Under 30' list

A huge congratulations to Old Stamfordian Jackson van Uden (OS 18), who has been named in BBC History Extra’s 30 Under 30 list as one of the best young historians in the country!

Jackson is a historian and political theorist specializing in totalitarianism and totalitarian regimes. Jackson set up his podcast, History with Jackson, in 2021 with the aim of encouraging people to learn and discover more about history from a variety of authors, periods and historical events. Since setting up his podcast he has connected with several history enthusiasts across the world and seen his charts in several countries.

Jackson has also supported the school on many previous occasions, including teaching our Junior School pupils about the Romans and joining our Year 13's for lunch to give advice on the future.

Of the listing Jackson told us, “Never in a million years did I think I would be considered one of the 30 best young historians in the country.”

Congratulations, Jackson, on your achievement!
