Nursery donate Christmas gifts to local children
Stamford Nursery School children were thrilled to meet Santa Claus on Wednesday afternoon as the Stamford Kiwanis collected their huge pile of donated gifts on behalf of Christ Church Stamford. The Nursery School children and their families have provided gifts to help support local children who are less fortunate than themselves and give them an extra gift to open at Christmas. The Kiwanis made a special stop on their Santa tour to Stamford Nursery School as the children have been busy gathering their Christmas gifts to hand personally to Santa. The twenty-five children waited patiently for Santa to arrive and were delighted to individually hand him their gifts and quickly fill the sleigh!Nursery Manager, Nicky Woodward, said: “We wanted to teach our children about the importance of helping others and giving something back during this festive period. The generosity was overwhelming, and it really enabled the children to understand the true meaning of Christmas.”
